{Mothers & Daughters}

Last Saturday in Washington DC, more than 500,000 people—women, children and men, but mostly women—peacefully gathered to stand up for a kinder conversation in our political arena...for more thoughtful interactions with each other...for a gentler and more open-minded society. There was not one arrest!

There were many mothers and daughters marching together...not only in Washington DC, but all over the world. No longer will women's voices not be heard! It's time, they said.

Thanks to "The Cut" for sharing their lovely video:
"Mothers and Daughters March Together."

And thank you to this beautiful little girl in the above photograph and whomever shared her glorious image! Indeed: "Little girls with dreams become Women with vision."

One more! Great gratitude to this little daughter below with her handmade sign—you know whatever it says, it's full of love!

From Anna Silman of "The Cut" via New York Magazine"Hidden Figures Shows How a Bathroom Break Can Change History" .....

And from Keli Goff of The Daily Beast: "How Trump Voters Who Say They Aren't Racist Can Prove It"....

{Do Unto Others}

Trump political rally
Claire Landsbaum's report in The Cut is chilling: "90 Percent of Teachers Say That Trump's Win Has Had a Negative Effect in Classrooms."
"The day after Donald Trump was elected, incidents of racist and misogynist harassment were reported around the country. Since then the trend has continued, " the article added.

In this time of mean-spirited "Trumpery," what are you telling your children and grandchildren about kindness, compassion, respect, fair play, bullying...and "do unto others as you would have them do unto you".....? Read on....

{The Glass Ceiling}

Rebecca Traister wrote this November 12, 2016 cover story for "The Cut" section of New York Magazine called Shattered. "Hillary Clinton didn't shatter the glass ceiling. This is what broke instead. The coalition she thought would pierce itand the faith that it will happenare in pieces." Or is it?
Or are we to trust the big picture...where blessings come from seeming "defeat" and "failure"....?  Click here to read Rebecca's historically informative piece....
